Home|Method|Test Results|Order|Contact Us Computer Analysis In an effort to prove its claims that a weighted grip can help improve a golfer's swing, the grip company conducted a computerized test of their counter-balanced grip with its unique weight-behind-the-hands theory. The computer shows the actual flight path of the ball when hit by a golfer and also prints out a paper chart of key readings taken during the swing of a club. It charts the club path to and from the ball, weight distribution at three points during the swing, the speed of the club at the impact point and the position of the club face at contact. The computer was setup on the first tee of the course. Anyone who wanted to participate in a two-swing test did so before teeing off on the first hole. On the first swing, the player would swing the club of their choice through the machine and would receive a printed analysis of that swing. On the second swing through the machine, the player would use the same club with a back-weighted test cap mounted on the grip of the club to simulate an AccuPower counter-balanced grip. When the findings were compared, the counter-balanced grip proved conclusively to improve the control and speed of the club head. The swing with the counter-balanced grip won 2 to 1 on distance and 9 to 1 on accuracy. Field trials by numerous players have been comparable to the computer results. With these computer results and the field reports of players who have played with these grips, it is obvious that a player can improve their game.
